About the Face-to-Face Courses Instructors

We are driving safety course instructors and delivery agents for Empire Safety Council (ESC). The ESC  is a New York State based defensive driving course company. Our 25 years of teaching experience in the field of driver safety education is focused primarily on classroom instruction. We are involved in the community with such organizations as the Chamber of Commerce, churches, insurance agents, schools, libraries, fire departments, senior citizen groups, unions, banks and non-profit organizations.

We are certified by the Empire Safety Council to teach this New York State Department of Motor Vehicles approved Defensive Driving and Point Insurance Reduction Program.

We have been helping clients save money and become more educated about their insurance coverages. Victor Bujanow is a Certified Insurance Counselor and licensed Insurance Broker. He has over 25 years teaching experience as a college adjunct instructor in New York State.

“To summarize, my reasons for teaching this course developed as a direct result from all of my experiences as a volunteer in my community, classroom interactions and hearing back from graduates of this workshop that they are conviction and accident free!”

Deborah is the Director of Education for Face to Face Courses. She has had a varied and successful career and holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from SUNY Schenectady County Community College.

Teaching has been Deborah’s life-long passion. As a Mary Kay Senior Consultant for more than 10 years, she has taught hundreds of skin care classes. In addition, she has worked as a math tutor for high school students.

In 2015, after 40 years, Deborah retired from Dura-Mill, Inc, a small family owned business in upstate New York. There she held positions as Information Technology liaison and customer service representative, among others.

Deborah is an active volunteer. She works as an usher and Cast Captain with the student volunteers at Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady and she supports the Autism Society of America by sponsoring fund-raising events. In 2017, she and Victor both received Proctor’s “Usher of the Year” award.

“My love of teaching my Mary Kay Business is to instill confidence and help women become all they can be. My passion for teaching Defensive Driving Classes is based on the increasing number of traffic fatalities and the aggressive driving I see on a daily basis on the road. If one of our classes can change a person’s driving attitude to drive more defensively and help lower the statistics of fatalities I feel it is a win-win! I want the roads to be safe for my family and yours!”
