Our Defensive Driving course is held in a comfortable, relaxed setting in convenient locations throughout New York’s Capital Region. In addition, we offer private classes throughout New York State. Our facility has ample seating with a projector and screen, facilitating student participation. Furthermore, we provide an informative workbook and show three current educational safety films. Total time to complete the course is six hours, the same amount of time that it takes to complete the online course. But unlike the online course, our live class is lively and fun. There are no formal tests, no final exam, and everyone passes.

How will our course make you a safer driver?
It will help you understand and explore your driving attitude and behavior and most important, how it relates to accident prevention, defensive driving, alcohol and drugs, and New York State Vehicle and traffic laws.
We Offer Private Defensive Driving Classes, Too
Are you’re looking for a more private setting, such as your office or place of business? Our instructors can arrange a private class at a location and time convenient to you. The private class has the same course curriculum as our public class, but we come to you. Please note, private classes must have a minimum of 10 students and up to 40 students, as mandated by NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.
A Live Defensive Driving Course Should Be Part of Every Employee Health & Safety Program
Empire Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Workshop is a proven effective driver safety program. It is fast, easy, and inexpensive. Therefore, it would be a great benefit to your employees. We can schedule the on-site instructor-led course around your schedule: day, evening or weekend. There are no start-up costs because tuition may be paid by the employees or you may offer it as an employee benefit. In the past we have held employee sponsored workshops for the NYS Department of Health in Albany, NY.
Make It Part of Your Community and Adult Education Program or Fund-Raising Efforts
Offer on-site safety courses to the general public and raise funds for your community or adult education programs. We are currently holding classes for senior citizen and community groups, as well as local libraries as fund raisers.
